MyOtherDrive Desktop Client

Manage your files and friends list outside the browser

In addition to our browser-based content management application, MyOtherDrive now offers a Desktop Client application which can be run directly from your desktop. Benefits include:

  • More screen space: No browser menu, Google or Yahoo toolbars, address bar, etc. using up valuable screen space - especially useful on smaller displays.
  • Less memory used: Without the browser running, it frees up a considerable amount of your system's memory. This translates into faster execution and ability to run more applications at once.
  • Fast access: Get into the application quickly.
  • Run on PC, Mac, or Linux: Anywhere that Java 1.4.2 or higher is installed, the Desktop Client can run. If needed, install the latest version of Java.

Installation

MyOtherDrive Desktop Client

Click the following link to install the MyOtherDrive Desktop Client application. This will install the application and launch it. It will install an icon on your desktop and add a menu item in your main Programs List.

Uninstall

If you would like to uninstall the desktop application, uninstall it as you would normally for any application. In Windows, this means going to the Control Panel Add Remove Programs (XP) or Programs and Features (Vista) and right-clicking on the entry in the list that starts with MyOtherdrive. Click the un-install menu option and it will be removed.
