Account Portal / Profile Page
What is the new 'Account Portal / Profile Page'?
In the past, when you signed into MyOtherDrive, you went directly into our File Management Application. Now,
when you sign in, you first go to our web-based account portal / profile screen. This screen gives you a quick summary
of your account, usage information, statistics, one-click access to see all of your shared folders, and one-click
access to see all of your friends.
Are you into 'Social Networking' ?
If so, you can rapidly 'hop' around viewing your friends shared files. Click on your friends list, click a friend and
then you can see all of the folders that they have shared either publicly or privately to you. See someone you know in
their friends list, click on them to see their shared content. You can continue drilling your way through your social
network.
How is this different than Collaboration?
Although you can use the Profile Pages to retrieve other's shared content, our collaboration system is much
more feature rich and powerful. Click on the 'Launch File Manager' button and then you will be taken to our online
File Management service. Inside this application, you can manage your collaborators, move and copy files and
folders between participants, create collaboration groups, and broadcast out shared content. Make sure to set
up your system for online backup while your are in there.
